Let's Do Business is a win-win program for your company. Whether a single-person operation or one of the area's largest employers, you can benefit from participating.

Strengthening the regional economy
Let's Do Business brings out-of-area spending back to the Tulsa region. On average, more than $27 million leaves the Tulsa economy every day. When companies participate in Let's Do Business, they pledge, when possible, to do business with a local company. Why? Doing business locally increases the regional tax base, improving the quality of life in Tulsa.

Building your business

More than 900 Tulsa-area companies are already taking advantage of the Let's Do Business buy-regional program. Why? Let's Do Business helps businesses:

  • Generate new customers
  • Find new contacts to do business with
  • Post requests for proposals
  • Respond to area RFPs
  • Increase visibility
  • Find quality products and services

In Tulsa, I was blessed to have many family and friends to call when boredom hit. I always had someone to play tennis with, to run with, or even go shopping with (even though all my friends have been through the Kristin Shopping Experience that encompasses trying to find the shoes with “some brown but not that much brown.” And, no, I don’t know why I still have friends). » More

Bring it Home TulsaOpen/Close
Tourism in the Tulsa region is a vital source of economic stability. The more visitors, conventions and groups we attract to our great region, the more revenue is generated that can be used for the purchase of much-need public projects and services for the benefit of our citizens.

Plus, we just love sharing our great city with the rest of the nation.

As one of the most philanthropic regions in the U.S., Tulsans are known for their charitable contributions and commitments to national organizations. The Convention and Visitors Bureau is asking for your help by encouraging groups and organizations you’re a member of to schedule their next meeting or convention in Tulsa.

It’s a simple request, but can have a huge impact.

Last year, national meetings, events and conventions brought in $1.4 billion to this region. Allowing Tulsa to host your organization’s next event could help us grow that number immensely and provide critical tax revenues.

All you have to do to help is provide us with the information about your group or event and who to contact, and we’ll take it from there.

Or, if you’ve already made the recommendation to hold an event in Tulsa, but now need help with the logistics, let us know and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Each year, we join with the Tulsa Hospitality and Lodging Association to recognize locals who have helped us in this effort by bringing groups to Tulsa. Join in this effort and let us honor you next year.

Simply fill out the form found online at www.VisitTulsa.com/BringItHome or contact us directly at (918) 560-0251 to help us “Bring it Home Tulsa.”

TYPros member wins entrepreneur awardOpen/Close
TYPros member Kelsy Eakin was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Tulsa Metro Chamber at the annual Small Business Awards at a luncheon and program at the Tulsa Marriott Southern Hills.
Recipients were selected by the Chamber’s Small Business Council from nominees that exhibited entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to create jobs in the Tulsa area.

Kelsy started her IT services company in 2005 at the age of 21 and has quickly grown the business to a multi-million dollar operation with seven full-time employees. She lives by a motto many of us could learn from: “If you think you are too small to be effective, you have never been in the dark with a mosquito.”

Small businesses are essential to the American economy, providing the engine that drives innovation and creating the majority of jobs. In fact, 80 percent of Tulsa’s business community consists of small businesses with 10 or fewer employees.

SourceLink LaunchOpen/Close
Tulsa Metro Chamber announced today at a press conference the launch of SourceLink Tulsa, a new program created to spur the growth of small businesses and start-ups in the area.  SourceLink is funded by the Chamber’s economic development plan, Tulsa’s Future. Speakers at the press conference were Cari Marshall, 2010 chair of the Chamber’s Small Business Council and owner of Tulsa-based L&M Office Furniture; Howard Barnett, president of OSU-Tulsa; Jeremy Hegle, U.S. SourceLink; and Patrick Cuningkin, owner of Tulsa-based start-up I’m Delivered.

In a community the size of the Tulsa metro region, there are a number of nonprofit and government organizations offering business-building services. However, individuals who own a small business or those who wish to start one are often overwhelmed with questions or challenges and may not know where to find help.

SourceLink Tulsa provides a simple, cost-free answer to this challenge. SourceLink is a referral network that links small and emerging business owners to area resource partners who provide a range of services to help businesses grow and prosper. The program is based on a model created by the Kauffman Foundation, and is offered at no cost to entrepreneurs and participating resource partners.
